40 Scholarship Students Bound for Australia
Australia’s Ambassador today farewelled the latest 40 high-achieving Lao men and women who have received Australia Awards scholarships to study at Australian universities starting in 2018.

The Australia Awards Scholarships comprises study in Australia for a formal academic or vocational qualification. There are currently 50 places available annually to Laos in two categories: the public category (for government officials) and the open category (for anyone who meets the selection criteria).
These scholarship preparation programs are for Australia Awards recipients and involve up to 12 months of pre-departure training, delivered in Laos. There are two types:
The English for Academic Purposes program involves up to 6 to 12 months of pre-departure training. The English for Academic Purposes program is aimed at preparing students with the necessary skills and understandings for living and studying successfully in Australia.
