Background of the event:
HR practitioners from the public, private and non-government sectors have been collaborating to establish a Lao HR professional association. Their intention is for this association to grow and become a platform for HR professionals to share their experiences, explore challenges, map career paths and ensure professional integrity. Working together to understand and provide innovative and forward-thinking solutions to issues and trends faced, not only in Laos, but the broader Mekong region and internationally.
This year’s conference event will build on the success of last year, where over a hundred HR professionals actively participated in the event. The 2024 Conference will promote awareness of the LAO PDR National Human Resource Development Strategy (NHRDS) to 2035 particularly from the perspective of the critical importance of strong HRM capacity and capability in driving HRD. The Conference will raise awareness of the critical role HRM plays in driving subsequent human resource development (HRD).
