Australia is a long-term supporter of English language training for the Lao Government – training that will enable officials to participate in international trade, professional development, ASEAN regional dialogue and much more.
Last week, the Lao Australia Institute, Australia’s human resource development program, delivered training on Module 1 of the new English for Lao Government Officials curriculum to Lao Government English teachers and academics. This training also served to pilot the new training materials and the valuable feedback we received is being incorporated into Module 1.
We will continue to work with Lao Government English teachers, academics and officials in the development of the next two modules and aim to provide the curriculum in full to various Lao Government agencies in early 2024.
