  The Laos Australia Institute is the Australian Government’s leading program for scholarships and training, as well as a source of technical advice and support to the public and private sectors

• The Position

  Reserved for Citizens of Lao PDR

  The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Coordinator will be responsible for liaising with the LAI team/s to collect, collate and analyse monitoring and evaluation data and information (including establishing systems), and supporting the work of the MEL Advisor and the Director in accordance with the MEL Framework

• The Person

  The ideal candidate has a relevant tertiary qualification in monitoring and evaluation or social sciences plus experience collecting, collating, coding, and analysing monitoring and evaluation data and information (both qualitative and quantitative) to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will have demonstrated high level knowledge and experience of Microsoft Word and Excel (to an advanced level) and experience ensuring adequate monitoring against inclusion (gender, ethnicity, and disability) targets.

  Along with effective interpersonal and communication skills, you will display self-motivation and the ability to work effectively as an individual or as part of a flexible, dynamic and culturally diverse team. Together with your good English proficiency (written and spoken) and ability to maintain a high standard of work, you will display strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
